Welcome to the jdictionary.com Japanese to English dictionary. This is the first working release of our web-based dictionary lookup tool. At the present time, only Japanese to English searches are enabled but we are working hard to expand features.
When entering searches, you will get results back faster if you use kana or kanji. If romaji is entered, an external web service is queried to convert your search string into hiragana so a bit of delay may be noticed. For example, if you search for 「おもしろい」 or ｢面白い」 you will get direct results back fairly quickly. If you search for "omoshiroi", there will be a slight delay. Also, at this time, katakana words must be entered as katakana.
